So I had the unfortunate experience of reading it much later in life. If you read it for the first time later, you must go back upon it with like reading some historical document, not for its quality. Though the overall idea was neat, and there was some good plot devices and points with important repercussions, new characters, costumes, and romances, it still was poor 1980's writing. Some of the lines have already been mentioned, but some of it was just horrible. I read it again last year, and needless to see, it didn’t hold up well at all.
