Whilst it would be obvious once your seat is seen that it's new it still might put some people off, so if you eBay it make sure you pay for the extra pictures and put photos of it in its original wrapping on there. You can do a "buyer collects" on eBay for larger items, and restrict the sale to only those who have a decent reputation (so no weirdos find out your adress etc). Other options include car boot sale, but you won't get a high price there, or putting an ad in your local paper/ supermarket? I don't know how you'd do it other than eBay. You could possibly take it to a consignment store, but I don't know if they sell anything other than clothing. The only problem I can see with eBay would be the shipping charges. You'd have to make it pretty high so you didn't lose money on the shipping charged, but if someone's getting it for half price, they may be willing to pay.
