best bet would be to look for a ford excape, or saturn vue. The problem is with $5000 to work with it will be hard to fill in what your expecting. I think it might be hard to find one with navigation and leather at that price unless it has 100,000+miles on it. I myself would forgo the navigation and leather to look for one with less mileage. Besides you can get a new portable GPS for $100 that will have more updated maps than one that is 10 years old. I would also try to find the old sqaure jeep cherokee. the 4.0L enginge is damn near bullet proof. As for the girl saying you should get an infiniti she has no idea what stuff cost. You will not find anything in your price range hell they start off at $40,000+ new. I would also look at subaru's all wheel drive and that gives you better options besides just looking at SUV's.
References :
PLEASE don't buy a European car for your own sake. My bf has one and it breaks down SO often. Many things have malfunctioned and he had to spend so much money on the ridiculously high maintenance fee.

But other than that, have fun with your new car!! :)
